In response to the person who asked me why I don’t like The Big Bang Theory:

soup-nazis:

The jokes are extremely repetetive and became stale after the first few episodes.

All the “humor” comes from Sheldon not reacting normally to social situations, Sheldon using his vast terminological repertoire to describe something simple (see what I did there? -cue the inescapable laugh track-), Sheldon saying “Bazinga!” and some sex/masturbation jokes.

The kind of comedy created solely to appeal to the unwashed masses and therefore garner lots of views/ratings. It’s not really designed to be original in any way, or to do anything comedic that hasn’t already been done a million times before.

Also, I hate to beat a dead horse but the fact that Jim Parsons received an Emmy (or any recognition at all) for the role of Sheldon is a shame, a travesty, and sadly unsurprising.
